Carefully, the healer wets a cloth, wrings out the worst of the wetness, then lifts Link's leg and carefully drapes the cloth under and around his broken ankle, patting it into place gently before moving around to find a sedative.
As she works, Link looks up at Mipha. She's smiling now. Definitely looking more relaxed. Her fingers are in his hair, the delicate points of her nails scratching comfortably against his scalp. He blinks slowly, then lifts his arm - it feels so heavy from the painkiller - and carefully signs, "I love you." It was something he had never said before. He'd always planned on after everything. Luckily, they still have an 'after'. It might have been one hundred years in the making, but this is the after, now. He smiles up at her again, then repeats the sign, wanting to reaffirm it. His voice is gone, but he's not sure he could say it anyways, with another person so close.
