All the emotional whiplash building up from the moment Link stepped into Vah Ruta hits her, like the dam that was threatening to break. Like the realization hit her; an 'after', indeed. Mipha closes her eyes to hold back her tears, opening them again just in time to see Link sign it a second time. To watch him say it after all this time, after her failed attempt at confessing all those years ago - and to repeat it with such conviction, with such a bright smile that betrays his current condition.
She raises her free hand and rests it against her chest, the gravity of the moment visibly moving her. A breathless laugh escapes her first; not an indication of not knowing what to say, but overwhelmed with happiness. Softly moving her fingers back and forth through his hair, her thumb stroking his forehead, she leans down closer to him with watery eyes and the widest smile she's had yet. "I love you," she repeats, almost a whisper. "With all of my heart."
